About a year ago I began working with a friend at church. He’d been going on mission trips for decades, and had been a full-time missionary for about seven years. Most recently, he launched his own non-profit missions organization.
We met several times in 2015 and had just set tentative dates when he suffered a massive stroke and passed away in late August. What was a great shock and heartache to us, was no surprise to God, and we knew we were to continue the ministry and mission. His wife and I began talking about carrying on the baton in the hospital in those first difficult days.
In November, we began once again planning the details of the mission trip, working with Harvest Land Ministries based in Kenya. I am so excited and honored to be called to Kisumu, Kenya to work with orphans and street children, as well as participate sharing the life-transforming, eternal life-saving gospel of Jesus through evangelistic meetings.
Our team will be leaving on Wednesday, March 30 and returning on Monday, April 11. My estimated cost is $3000 to cover travel expenses, food, lodging, transportation, ministry expenses, and holding a 3-day evangelistic event.
I’m asking you to please pray about making a financial contribution to help fund this trip. As a part of DayWorker Missions, a 501c3, any contributions made to support the mission are tax deductible. You can donate online at:www.dayworkermissions.org or simply make out a check payable to DayWorker Missions and mail it to the address in the attached picture. Any amount will be a blessing and help me to “bear much fruit that the Father may be glorified.” – John 15:8
I’d also like to, with your permission, pass on any funds raised beyond my personal expenses to any teammate who is in need or with those we’ll be ministering to in Kisumu.
It’s not easy to ask for money, and I understand finances are tight for many. If the only offering you can make at this time is that of prayer, I’m very appreciative of that as well. We are relying, as always, on God’s grace as demonstrated through your heart. I thank you in advance from the bottom of mine!
By His grace and for His glory,
